Here at Yaoi Book Nook we believe in the power of LGBTQ media and we want to shout it to the world. Literature is powerful for escapism, sociological analysis of the time period and understanding subcultures. We want to celebrate queer media in all ways whether you want to read it for enjoyment, a feeling of belonging or as an in-depth analysis on identity.
We always strive to offer the most in-depth reviews we can with an extensive rating system which takes into account the story, art where applicable, the spiciness, the tooth rotting fluffiness and the amount of red flags present in the story. Sadly, not all LGBTQ media is created equally and we want to highlight which ones are must reads and which should be avoided. Each review will list tags and potential trigger warnings at the top of the post so that you can read safely and make an informed decision.

If there’s something we feel like you need to know in order to understand a particular piece of media, we’ll write a deep dive social commentary on it! Especially the more out there universes that appear in Asian media.
